Finally calling back all my friends
They’ve been wondering where I’ve been
I went off the deep end
This time it was a good swim
I’ve been running ‘round with someone
Never thought I’d be this fun again
Well, I never woulda thought it had you told me that
We would come together quite like we have
Kinda reads like Kerouac
Crossing country then going back
Back to New York to figure it out
Back to the place I loved you right out loud
Work’s piled up, dishes ain’t done
I’ve been stuck on the telephone
Ain’t been sleeping in my bed, I’d rather be in yours instead
Guess I’ve come a little undone
I’m just missing, I’m just missing someone
I’m looking up at the sky
I’m looking all the time
Is that you circling ‘round
When are you coming down
When’ll I see your face again
When’ll I get to have that skin I’m craving
Work’s piled up, dishes ain’t done
I’ve been stuck on the telephone
Ain’t been sleeping in my bed, I’d rather be in yours instead
Guess I’ve come a little undone
I’m just missing, I’m just missing someone
We tried counting down the days
But our hearts couldn’t take the pain
Ain’t never been so hard living, hard living this way
When I finally get to getting to you, babe, I’m gonna stay
Work’s piled up, dishes ain’t done
I’ve been stuck on the telephone
Ain’t been sleeping in my bed, I’d rather be in yours instead
Guess I’ve come a little undone
I’m just missing, I’m just missing someone
Hey, I’m just missing someone
Hey, I’m just missing someone

“She’s quick to pay homage to her musical heroes but Jaimee Harris is her own person, with her own voice. She’s got a
natural songwriter’s instinct for the hard truths, and a voice that brings them home with a visceral punch. Pay attention.”

1st time i heard DeathWish, i turned it off.
felt rushed, not the Isbell i've come to admire. really grab'd me when i took time to listen on the 2nd try. the writing on these songs stopped me in my tracks more than once. raw talent with just enough polish in the delivery.
thankyou Jason + 400 for another keeper swirlingmadness
